Special Sasee Woman Contest Winner

Congratulations to Carla McCray! She has won our Special Sasee Woman Contest. Her 17 year-old daughter, Amber, submitted the winning essay. Ms. McCray also has three other children, 11, 13 and 15. Carla and her family live in Conway, and Carla says she could not get it all done without the help of her mother.

Why My Mother is a Special Sasee Woman
by Amber McCray

The special woman I would like to honor is my mother, Ms. Carla L. McCray. I would like to honor my mother because she is a single mother with four kids. My mother goes to school part-time at Horry Georgetown Technical College, and works full-time at Easy Spirit. She works hard to give me and my siblings what we need and a little of what we want. My mother should be honored because she never gets a break to treat herself. She’s always on the go, either to work or school. This is why my mother should be honored as the Special Sasee Woman.

Thank you to all who entered our contest. You are all special Sasee women!
