Letter from the Editor: Birth
January is a month of optimism; a fresh start. While many of my friends and colleagues use electronic date books and calendars, I still love my old-fashioned paper one. It feels so good to open that new, blank calendar and imagine all of the possibilities waiting in those yet-to-be-used pages. As I go through and note all of the year’s upcoming birthdays and events in their appointed month, I get excited about the year ahead.
January also offers more time to read; one of my favorite things to do. If you aren’t sure what to read this month, check out our new feature, “Jennifer’s Sasee Book Club.” Jennifer will suggest two books each month, one popular and one literary, that revolve around the same theme. She will also give readers questions to consider after reading one, or both, of the featured books. I would love to hear what you think of Jennifer’s selections!
As always, thank you for reading Sasee. We are excited about the year ahead and hope you enjoy the fun, interesting and informative features we have planned.
Leslie
