Letter from the Editor: Gratitude
By Leslie Moore

Lately I’ve found that gratitude is a very powerful way to improve my life. Upon the suggestion of a friend I started keeping a gratitude journal, and every day I write at least five things that I’m grateful for. At first, it was really hard to do, but gradually I’ve come to look forward to those few minutes each day. I make it fun by using pretty colored pencils and doodling in the margins of the page, but the entries keep getting longer and longer, with less and less room for doodles. Now I have a much harder time losing sight of my many blessings.
You’ll find a lot to be thankful for in this issue of Sasee – our writers have done a wonderful job of expressing gratitude in their essays this month. If you haven’t seen it yet, please try to watch Sasee in the City, our weekly segment on WMBF News on Channel 10. It’s been loads of fun doing these short segments that air on Thursday mornings during the 6 a.m. half-hour. To catch the ones you’ve missed, visit our website at www.sasee.com.
I am, as always, grateful to you, dear reader, for your continued support. You are the reason we are here.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Leslie
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.
