Nicole Speaks: The Gift of Giving

This week, Nicole Mann encourages us to remember our hard working local charities this holiday season. There are many good ones to choose from; Helping Hands needs volunteers to help stock the food pantry, answer the phone, etc. You can eat at CiCi’s pizza the third Saturday of the month and they will donate 15% of sales to the Grand Strand Humane Society, or go by the shelter and pick a dog from the Pet Tree. Bring back a gift of pet food, leashes, cleaning product, etc. to help this pet and others. Or, go to Barnes and Nobles in Market Common on the 23rd or the 30th and the folks from Grand Strand Humane Society will be there to wrap your gifts. The local Guardian ad Litem program is a charity close to Sasee’s heart. We sponsored them for a year to celebrate our fifth birthday. New Guardians are needed to be the voice of a foster child by visiting them and being an advocate in the court system. Whichever charity you choose, express your gratitude for your abundance by giving back to those less fortunate.
This week’s Sasee events are the Myrtle Beach Annual Direct Sellers Christmas Open House, to be held on the 22nd at the Holiday Inn West, and “Mistletoe and Holly,” a concert by the Serendipity Singers to be held at Belin United Methodist Church on the 23rd. All Sasee in the City installments are brought to you by WMBF-News Channel 10.
