What a truly uplifting story. We were aware of your cross country trip, but not aware of the therapeutic affects for all of you. We think you have found a new direction in your retirement. Thank you for being our son's inlaw.

I truly loved this article. Kim is a great writer, lovely person and wonderful mother. Most of all I count her as one of my dearest friends. She and I shared more truly "fun" times together with our girls (over the years with church and school activities) than I could ever begin to list!!!! My heart still breaks over the loss of she and her husband's beautiful younest daugher who was my oldest daugher's best friend. But, I am so filled with joy and peace to see her smile again, enjoy life's gifts, and use her lovely voice in singing. What a JOURNEY she has been on and she has come so far. Love ya!

Kim,
This is wonderful. It really brings back wonderful memories of my first cross country trip out west. Reading this really hit at my own feelings of that experience as well. I'm so glad that you went on this wonderful healing trip. It's truly amazing the healing power of nature. It's like I always told everyone when they would ask me why I drove out there. It's harder to grieve, when your standing there looking down at the Grand Canyon.
         ~ Love you,
                           John
