Leslie Moore talks about our January (2009) issue
In this segment of Sasee in the City, Sasee Editor, Leslie Moore, talks about our January issue.
January also marks the beginning of our “Women of Character” feature. Together with WMBF News and Cinzia, The Spa at North Beach Plantation, we will honor women in our community who have made a difference in the lives of others. I think all of us have had women in our lives that inspired, touched, and even changed us in a very real way. We are asking viewers to send us short essays of 500 words or less about the special women in their lives. Each month we will celebrate and honor one of these women, and at the end of the year, A “Woman of Character” will be chosen and honored in a very special way.
We also highlighted some very special women in our Southern Snaps feature this month. Connie Barnard spent some time with the “Dragon Boat at the Beach” group. This is a rowing group made up of cancer survivors. A nationwide program, they have rowing competitions with other groups and practices twice weekly from April through November.
