Letter from the Editor: There’s a Song in the Air

There's a Song in the Air

Our community is fortunate to have many talented musicians and access to numerous high-quality, professional performances, such as the Long Bay Symphony, CCU’s diverse cultural offerings, the FPC Concert Series and, of course, the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art. Held in the fall, this spectacular festival brings us world class musicians like Barrage, Bella Fleck, Sam Bush and many others. The amazing thing is that, except for one full-time paid director, this event is put together entirely by a board of directors and devoted volunteers. The Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art board has organized a wonderful new fundraiser, “A Culinary Symphony,” to be held on March 14. It promises delicious food, pleasing music and fun for all, but most importantly, it will help ensure that the music continues! Find out more by calling 843-237-4774.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all,
Leslie

Love is like a violin. The music may stop now and then, but the strings remain forever.
