“Friendship,” as deep as the ocean… by Roberta Rotunda
Roberta and her husband retired from Connecticut to Longs, South Carolina, about ten years ago. Before the move, she spent about a year dabbling in watercolor and acrylics, releasing her creative inner being that only occasionally showed through her ceramics and decorating. Painting was a new vision that turned into a true passion. Once in South Carolina, she joined local art associations and attended workshops and classes to pursue sharing her creative work with others and to bring as much joy into their world as it has into hers. Roberta has studied in all mediums with local artists Mary Griffith, Susan Duke and Jim Horton. Much of her work has sold and is currently on exhibit at Sunset River Marketplace and Art Nouveau Galleries. In addition, she has had several commissions including one for Connecticut’s Chief Forensic Examiner, Dr. Henry Lee; a watercolor entitled Evening at Peace. Roberta can be contacted at rvr@sccoast.net.
