Cover Artist: Joan Carver
She Sells Sea Shells

Artist Joan Carver owned, operated and taught children, teens and adults, at her art school, “The Wizard of Art,” in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 16 years before relocating with her husband, Garry, to Jacksonville, Florida. Her favorite medium is oils or acrylics on canvas; however she enjoys watercolors, silk painting and drawing portraits with graphite pencil or pastels.
Lately, Joan has been designing and selling her hand-painted, one-of-a-kind purses from the same canvas that she uses to create her paintings. Each is an original work-of art that is also an artsy accessory! These one-of-a-kind creations are available for a limited time at www.joancarver.etsy.com.
Joan has published two books containing collections of her paintings. She is currently working on publishing a children’s book, as well as a book revealing her ideas and secrets of teaching art.
