Letter from the Editor: Mother Earth

Letter from the Editor: Mother Earth

Like most mothers, I think my children are the best things I’ve ever done – hands down. My daughter, now an adult and living her own life, is a lovely young woman whom I adore. She’s smart and happy and doing fabulously well – a job well done in my opinion. My son is also doing well; at age nineteen he’s attending school and planning his life. When my babies were born, I looked into their eyes and saw, not just the sweet, cuddly little things I held in my arms, but the happy, healthy adults they would eventually become. And, right then, I promised I would never ever give up on them, no matter what happened along the way. I’ve kept that promise in ways I never could have dreamed. That’s what we, as mothers, do – we keep that vision of how worthy we know our children really are, and we share that vision with them at every available opportunity. And, we never give up.

While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.
