Letter from the Editor: If You Can’t Stand the Heat…
By Leslie Moore

I’ve always been one of those people who thrive in the heat – the hotter the better has always been my mantra. And, through the years, I have never understood why some people (mostly coworkers) have insisted on keeping it so cold inside during the summer months; I mean really, why have the thermostat set on 65 degrees when it’s 95 outside? I would fuss and complain, usually silently, about the meat locker environment. Then, menopause hit. And, finally, I understood. Now I have a paper fan on my desk for cooling down and a heater by my feet for warming up – both of which I frequently use on the same day, sometimes within an hour’s time. I still don’t like to be cold in July, but, at least now I understand why others do.
This month’s “Southern Snaps” interview, written by our own Connie Barnard, features Angie and Wayne Eggleston, dear friends of the Sasee crew. I hope their story inspires you as much as it did me.
Happy 4th of July!
Don’t look at your feet to see if you are doing it right. Just dance.
