Hued Suits

Grooms and their groomsmen are opting for green, blue, burgundy & purple-hued suits this upcoming wedding season, thus adding a delightful pop of color to the wedding nuptials. They need not even wear the same suit, mix-matching the groomsmen suits or a particular piece of the suit, such as a vest or bow tie, is also growing in popularity.

Navy

Navy and gold, navy and turquoise, navy and pink – navy is going to be a huge color for 2015. Emerald, burgundy, sage, and sangria will also be gracing the aisles in the upcoming year.

Dessert Trends

Brides are saying goodbye to fondant and ornate designs this season and hello to “naked cakes.” These cakes are just as delicious as their covered counterparts but have more of a rustic and natural look. Elaborate cake toppers are also taking a back seat to simpler decorations such as fruit and flowers. Not a cake person? Having a selection of beautifully made pies or doughnuts for your guests is a fun alternative.

Wedding Dress Style

Lace, lace, and more lace. The popularity of The Great Gatsby and “Downton Abbey” have brides dreaming of dresses with intricate lace details harking back to the romantic fashion of their great-grandmother’s wardrobe. Romantic off-the-shoulder and modest bateau necklines paired with sleeves both full and elbow-length will also be favored this year.

Gold

Gold is shining again! Brides are switching from the silver and platinum accents of the past few years back to glittering timelessness of yellow gold. Look out for that precious metal popping up everywhere from invitations, decor and even on the bride’s ring finger!

Reception

Brides and Grooms of 2015 are looking for industrial and outdoor spaces for their receptions. The contrast of exposed brick and wood against the elegant elements of lace and pearls makes for a beautiful, memorable event. Breweries and 19th and early 20th century warehouses top the list as places to eat, drink, and be married this season!
