Myrtle Beach: Days & Nights of Romance

It’s February and finally we are having seasonably cool, some say cold, temperatures. With these chilly days and nights, ROMANCE is definitely in the air. And living in and around Myrtle Beach affords us locals many opportunities to plan some romantic adventures with the one(s) we love or maybe even like just a little!

Whether celebrating an anniversary, engagement or just a night out, Sasee encourages you to try some new and unique experiences to show that special someone you put a little thought into it!

Sasee women take note: Tear out these three pages and place near the remote!

Any Sasee woman will tell you when her significant other puts some thought and creativity into planning a romantic evening, she is immediately swooning again. Sasee put her thinking cap on and came up with some unique and romantic ways to say, “You are loved, and I am so glad you are mine.”

Intimate Date Nights

Aspen Grill, this local’s favorite, is a sophisticated, yet simple restaurant with an absolutely fresh menu. Sit and relax in a warm, comfortable environment and enjoy each other’s company over a fantastic meal, a bottle of wine and live entertainment. The perfect place for a quiet night out for two!

Special occasions call for a special setting, and no one offers more options and ambiance for private dining than Collector’s Cafe & Gallery. Not to mention the most incredible, interesting, freshest and innovative menu around. If you want to impress your date, Collector’s is a must.

Ciao is an intimate restaurant with Old World appeal. If you’re craving incredible Italian cuisine and intimacy, Ciao is a your perfect date night spot. Be sure to share the Mango Passion Sorbet with a white chocolate shell covered in raspberry drizzle. That and an Italian Red make the perfect romantic ending.

The Library is the ultimate in intimate dining experience with exquisite table settings, subdued lighting, wait staff in tuxedos preparing most foods tableside and ending with fabulous flambé desserts yielding a most enjoyable and romantic evening.

Home is Where the Heart is

Nothing says “I love you” more than a home cooked meal… see pages 38-39 for the perfect menu.

Nothing says “I adore you” more than hiring a professional caterer, such as A Difference in Dining to come into your home, prepare the meal, clean up after themselves and exit quietly. Huge kudos to whoever has this fabulous idea.

Adventuresome And Romantic Day Dates

Take in the breathtaking beauty and serenity of our coastline by horseback. Horseback Riding of Myrtle Beach runs tours through the end of February. If you are an experienced rider you may trot ahead with your special someone. A fun outdoor date can be just as romantic as spending the evening at a restaurant.

Sasee says, if it is romantic enough for The Bachelor then it must be romantic….call one of the various helicopter companies in Myrtle Beach and schedule a custom, breathtaking coastline tour. Holding hands and looking at our beautiful beaches – it doesn’t get any more romantic.

Ride the Skywheel and watch the sunset over the waterway. What a perfect place to see the mighty Atlantic meet miles of Myrtle Beach landscape. Whisper sweet nothings to each other as you experience our daily, gorgeous, winter sunsets.

Passionate Kisses

Grab a blanket and watch the sunrise on the beach, walk hand in hand for a brisk stroll, followed by breakfast at Sea Captains House or 2nd Ave. Pier where this time of year you can spot dolphins splashing and playing in the Atlantic.

Head out to one of the many incredible day spas such as Kiva Day Spa at Kingston Plantation and spend the day together being pampered with the Serenity Couples Massage or combine several of your favorite services in their Serenity Combinations. Leave rested, pampered and relaxed.

Winter Bliss Retreat

Reconnect at a Couple’s Connection Workshop at Yoga in Common where you can enjoy simple partner postures and learn valuable verbal communication skills. Nothing is as passionate as talking to one another on a deeper level.

Lovers Of Fabulous Meats
(For that man or woman who doesn’t like small portions)

If you want to dine on some of the finest beef around, be waited on like royals and leave after enjoying a fine dining experience, then New York Prime is your best bet. This local’s favorite happens to be the sea bass which melts in your mouth, perfectly prepared and scrumptious. Of course, hubby wants the beef and says it is the best in town.

For the connoisseur of large steaks, Angelos Steak & Pasta is the ticket. Well known for their delectable steaks, which are cut on site, aged perfectly, seasoned and served in any size up to 24 ounces. And if you save room, the Brownie Gelato is the perfect ending to your date – you’ll never experience anything like it again.

Cool, Chic and Urban

If you want your date to be out of the ordinary, feel like you are in a metropolitan city, experience cocktails like never before and food out of this world, then you need to experience The Chemist. The Chemist combines lots of elements to create a fabulously tasteful locale for food and drink near the boardwalk. Sasee suggests that after a romantic ride on the Skywheel, walk over to The Chemist for a ride you will not soon forget.

Rooftop21, the open air jewel of Soho Café & Bar, is the one and only rooftop bar and lounge in Myrtle Beach, with a menu offering natural ingredients like grass-fed beef, free-range chicken and eggs and wild-caught seafood. A vertical garden wall and cocktails is combined with a dreamy atmosphere that can’t be beat. Don’t worry about being cold – heaters and fire pits offer abundant warmth on these snuggly winter nights!
