To Your Success!

By Kim Fowler

Happy New Year! What does that mean to you? Is it a brand new start? How are you going to treat 2017? This year is full of hope, possibility and opportunity!

Here’s how to make 2017 your best year yet!

• Clarity–Get clear about what you want 2017 to bring. What do you want to accomplish? Create a vision for yourself. Think about what your life will look like in December. What will be different? What will you have gained? Think about all areas of your life–health, family, finances, spirituality, career, recreation, etc. Write down what you want to have accomplished by year’s end. Create a vision board to give you even more clarity.

• Mindset–Most of us don’t realize how powerful our minds are in creating the lives we want. Turn off any negative thoughts that start creeping into your head. Realize that you can do anything you set your mind to. Be confident. You will really understand the power of your mind once you realize that thoughts do become things. Confront any fears you have. Remember, even if you fail, you are making progress.

• Attraction–Your subconscious mind can be your best friend. Look at your vision board repeatedly throughout the day. Listen to affirmations. Soon you will be attracting what you need to make your goals a reality. Believe!

• Action–Set your daily intentions to align with your goals. Once you are clear, have a positive mindset and believe that you can do what it takes to make this a great year, focus on your actions. Create an intentional plan that will incorporate action steps daily. Ask yourself, ‘what am I doing today to reach my goals?’

Stay focused, intentional and consistent for your best year yet!

Good suggestions. I particularly like the second one regarding mindset and feel that all “wannabe’ writers should adhere to this advice. So, often folks get discouraged at the first rejection slip they receive after submitting a story or whatever. Whoever hit a homerun the first time at bat?
