Unique Wedding Ideas

By Leslie Moore

In two words, Bays and Jackson Seagroves wedding was Uniquely Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your special touches with Sasee. Making your wedding day as unique as possible sometimes proves challenging. Bays & Jackson began their lives together with a hearty helping of southern hospitality and tradition.

Add Rustic Charm – Instead of traditional escort cards, Bays & Jackson wro te their guests names on a vintage white door and displayed it at their cocktail hour prior to the reception.

Monogrammed Bouquets – Adding vintage broaches to the ribbon made the bride’s bouquet stand out, and bridesmaids’ bouquets are monogrammed with their initials for a perfect way to remember the day.

What a beautiful touch! – Many brides are having a live painting done of their special day. Be sure to reserve your artist at least 6 months in advance and provide him or her an idea of what you want.

Always a Classic – The bigger the bow, the happier the southern bride.

The Night of your Life! – Gone are the days of leaving in a shower of plain rice. Bays & Jackson chose sparklers and pompoms in the colors of their alma mater.

Monogram your cake – Monograms are classic and stylish – why not add your new letters to your wedding cake? This simple design will never go out of style.

Bury the Bourbon! – Rain on your wedding day is not what any bride wants – even though one tradition says rain is actually good luck! Burying the bourbon is a tradition that, if done correctly, is supposed to ward off rain the day of the wedding. The bride and groom-to-be must visit the site of their wedding and bury a full sized bottle of bourbon, upside down – yes it has to be upside down. On your special day, under the shining sun, dig up your bourbon and enjoy it with your friends.
