Royal Princess Party

Presented by the Coastal South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Saturday, March 3rd
8:30 am – Noon

The celebration begins with breakfast at Travinia Italian Kitchen at The Market Common accompanied by your fairy godmother and all your favorite princesses.

  • Snacks and goody bags

All princesses must wear a costume in order to participate. For tickets or information, please contact Nanci Conley at conleyN@usa.redcross.org or 843-477-0020. Tickets: $25. All princesses must be accompanied by an adult.

Poster Competition for the 2012 Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art

The Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art is now accepting entries until March 16th for its poster design competition to advertise their 22nd annual event. The winning design will be used in promotional materials, including a poster and tee shirts that will be sold during the festival. The winning designer will take home $300.

A heartfelt Thank you goes out to all who participated in the 1st Annual Circle of Love Wreath Drive. Sasee had so many gorgeous wreaths & door hangings donated. At presstime, we were still receiving wreaths to distribute and to judge. The special awards and recipients will be published in the January 2012 Sasee.

Thank you also to Rose Arbor Fabrics & Interiors and The Social Garden for being such great sponsors of this year’s event. As promised each sponsor donated $5 for each wreath received. Angel Tree gifts will be purchased with these proceeds during the month of December and delivered to children in our area. The wreaths were delivered to Myrtle Beach Manor’s skilled nursing center on November 30, 2011 by the Sasee staff.

Ann Ipock

Award-winning author and Sasee contributor, Ann Ipock, will be appearing at Sunset River Marketplace on May 5, from 10-11 am, as part of the gallery’s ongoing Coffee With the Authors series. She will talk about her latest book, “Life is Short, I Wish I Was Taller,” which follows “Life is Short, So Read This Fast!” and “Life is Short, But It’s Wide” and completes Ipock’s Life is Short trilogy.

The Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach recently announced a third annual special benefit concert to be held on Saturday, February 26th. “An Evening of Hollywood Classic Songs” will feature the Long Bay Symphony and two nationally recognized performers in a concert of popular songs from the motion picture industry.
