DESCRIPTION:The Blessing of the Inlet was first started 28 years ago to create a festival filled with worship\, food\, fun\, and fellowship that is highlighted by a “Blessing” ceremony\, celebrating our Lord’s continued blessings in the Inlet Community.  The Blessing of the Inlet generates funds for many missions\, charities\, and nonprofit organizations due to Belin’s focus on the people and lives of Murrells Inlet and the surrounding South Strand. \n\n\n\nThe festival has grown to include a day of entertainment\, with arts and crafts vendors\, various Murrells Inlet restaurants and local food purveyors\, and a children’s play area with games and fun events for the entire family. There’s guaranteed something for everyone. \n\n\n\nThis festival is highlighted by the Blessing of the Inlet ceremony\, which starts at 10 AM. The “Blessing“ will be administered by Pastors Will Malambri\, Isaac Dusenbury\, and JT Brown. The actual “Blessing” ceremony will start our event and be held in front of the cross on the inlet. \n\n\n\nThe festival is a free event with no admission or parking charge and is always held rain or shine. \n\n\n\nEveryone is invited to help us celebrate the glory of God and all His blessings.

Green Circle Salons work with salons\, spas\, barber shops and independent artists to divert that waste from landfills\, certify salons as Carbon Neutral and create new and innovative products with the waste.  \n\n\n\nBaddhare Salon in Myrtle Beach leads the way in sustainable operations and environmentally safe products. 84% of salon clients care about where salon waste goes and together with Green Circle Salons\, Baddehare Salon is making a difference. The Green Your Community event\, taking place at BADDHARE SALON\, 4377 North Kings Highway\, Unit 103 in Myrtle Beach is a free educational event for everyone in the Myrtle Beach and surrounding communities and the local Salon community. Baddhare is asking salons\, beauty professionals\, and the community to bring any hair related items to be recycled and diverted from local landfills. Anyone who participates will receive 20% off their Baddhare retail purchase\, and those who are interested in joining the Green Circle Salons movement will receive free enrollment. \n\n\n\nThe first Baddhare Beach Cleanup of the year will also take place following the Saturday event at 4:30pm. All are welcome to join the Baddhare Salon crew at the 48th Ave N. Beach access in Myrtle Beach to help keep our beaches clean. These efforts contribute to the adopt a beach program through MyCoast.org. Baddhare Salon is one of 22 businesses in the Myrtle Beach area that have adopted a portion of the Grand Strand through MyCoast.org.

DESCRIPTION:The Low Country Herb Society meets on April 9th at 9:15 a.m. at the Waccamaw Library in Pawleys Island. \n  \nThe guest speaker will be Mr. Tom Francis\, owner of Bees-by-the-Sea and Beekeeper at Brookgreen Gardens. His topic is “How Beekeepers Help Honeybees Survive.” \n  \nMembership to the Low Country Herb Society is open to all and no experience is necessary. A “meet and greet” social time to welcome guests and members is held prior to the meeting with refreshments provided by LCHS members. Every regular meeting includes a guest speaker and information on the Herb of the Month. Throughout the year an annual picnic is held\, a holiday luncheon\, fundraisers for a scholarship fund and a field trip. \n  \nLCHS meets from September through May\, and the annual dues are $25 with a quarterly newsletter included.
