Introduction To Yoga 4 Week Series

Join Chrissie from Subala843.com as she guides a 4 week Introductory Workshop built for the student curious to yoga! You’ll learn common studio etiquette, how to pick a class right for your ability and how to destress.

 Each week we will have a theme on yoga philosophy and we will improve upon what we learned from the previous classes. Students will receive an infographic each class to help them carry their practice home with them. Please bring your own yoga mat, a water bottle and dress comfortably knowing that you will be moving. If you have access to props like blocks, bolsters or straps, you can bring those too.

  • Sept 4 – “Yoga Basics” – Find Your Seat, Find Your Down Dog, Salute the Sun, learn to move, breathe and settle the mind. 
  • Sept 11 – “Props & Poses” – learn the specific names and alignment to poses and what props can help these poses feel better in your body. 
  • Sept 18 – “Go with the Flow” – take poses from the last 3 classes and string them together in a vinyasa style class with one breath and one movement. 
  • Sept 25 – “Put it all together” – take the various poses and props to blend a graceful movement practice paired with breathing and meditation for our final practice.
