Cover Artist: Joanna Baker

Artist and illustrator, Joanna Baker, resides in Somerville, New Jersey, with her husband and two cats, June & Lola. After spending thirteen years in Manhattan, they recently moved to a house with more space about an hour outside of the city. She now works from her home studio which overlooks their beautiful backyard garden.

Her fashion design background and life in New York greatly influence her work. She creates her art using brush markers, watercolor, and acrylics on a variety of surfaces. She enjoys capturing the delightful details in everyday life and transforming them into giftable paper and home goods.

After seven years of working as a full-time illustrator, she has also discovered great joy in sharing her creative process with others. She teaches online illustration courses in addition to hosting an illustration membership, The Bountiful Artist.
