Turning Lives Around: Body Revolution Aesthetics & Wellness is committed to changing lives, inside and out

The husband-and-wife team of Dr. Jason and Morgan Farrah has decades of experience in acute healthcare, but seven years ago, they decided to sidestep from traditional medicine into aesthetics and wellness.

The Farrahs’ first wellness spa was in Ocala, Florida, and in February 2022, they opened Body Revolution Aesthetics & Wellness here in Myrtle Beach. Jason was a surgeon and physician for 17 years, practicing in general surgery, trauma surgery, surgical critical care, and robotic surgery. Morgan has 15 years of experience as a board-certified nurse practitioner, first working as a registered nurse in the Burn Intensive Care Unit and Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

“We were always on the front lines helping people in their hour of immediate crisis,” says Jason. “But, over the years, we found that throwing ourselves into that work headlong and then getting married, getting older, having kids of our own, we got so busy that we forgot to take care of ourselves. Now we’re optimizing health in the absence of disease.”

Jason explains how their work today at Body Revolution is an extreme shift from taking care of patients with acute diseases or illnesses to keeping someone well or away from disease. Today, he is known at the spa for his expertise in hormone optimization, medical weight loss, and wellness. Morgan has a passion for aesthetics and has more than seven years of experience as an aesthetic injector.

“Our journey to make ourselves healthier dovetailed with Morgan’s interest in aesthetics to reach out to women and keep them and make them beautiful,” says Jason. “We hadn’t really explored this side of medicine. It became very gratifying because we were patients ourselves for hormone optimization and some of the other modalities we got into, and we realized we really benefited from this. We started to reach out and meet our community needs in patients like us who wanted to optimize their health and weren’t living their fullest life.”

The menu of services today offered at Body Revolution Aesthetics & Wellness includes dermal fillers, wrinkle relaxers, natural growth factor injections, exosomes, hormone optimization, medical weight loss, medical concierge, laser hair removal, hair restoration, Lumecca IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), IV wellness therapy, chemical peels, microchanneling, Morpheus8, SylfirmX, body contouring, face contouring, and joint injections for pain and inflammation.

“The recent trend is body contouring,” says Morgan. “Procedures to make the body and face tight, such as radio frequency-assisted liposuction, which is a minimally invasive way to sort of shrink-wrap the skin and remove excess, unwanted fat. Another popular service is medical weight loss. That’s really been a game-changer. The problem is that sometimes, when people lose weight, they’re left with loose, saggy skin, and they don’t feel youthful. This takes care of that with minimal downtime. People have been loving it, and it’s really taking off.”

Morgan says that they aim to have patients see that Body Revolution’s services are two-fold: both medical and aesthetic, so they’re healthy inside but also feeling good because they look good on the outside. Depending on the service, staff will continue to monitor patients through their journey of well-being. For example, medical weight loss patients are seen at least every month, sometimes weekly; hormone optimization patients are seen at least every six weeks; Botox patients are seen every three months, and so on.

“We’re not just treating patients and changing numbers,” says Jason, “we’re changing lives. … This is a trusted place providing trusted healthcare, where we take care of people, listen to them, meet them where they’re at, and meet their healthcare needs and their aesthetics needs so they have a positive experience and walk out of here uplifted, positive, and then they bring that into their life, their marriage, and then ultimately into the community. … Those are things we want to continue to bring to the community we serve here in Myrtle Beach.”
