Set Sail Charter Co. is making waves in the heart of Murrells Inlet, founded by local maritime enthusiast Steely Hays. Growing up in Murrells Inlet, Steely was introduced to the water at a young age, spending her days at the beach, fishing, and diving. Her professional journey began at age fifteen with Express Watersports, where she advanced from shop girl to PADI divemaster and earned her 100-ton master captain’s license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her college years at Coastal Carolina University, Steely discovered a love for sailing and joined the university’s sailing club. Seeing a gap in Murrells Inlet’s watersports offerings, she purchased “Miss Adventure” in 2022 and launched Set Sail Charter Co. in 2024. The company offers 1.5-hour private charters for up to four people, complete with a captain and crew. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Set Sail Charter Co., guests are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks, ensuring their favorite refreshments are on hand as they bask in the scenic beauty of the inlet. Steely’s vision is to offer a unique and personalized experience, sharing her lifelong love for the water with others.
