Cover Artist: Remi Art

My name is Beth Ann “Buffy” Patterson, and I am the artist behind Remi Art. Creativity has always lived in my heart, but painting became something much deeper during some of the most challenging seasons of my life. When words were not enough, art became my refuge. Painting gave me space to breathe, heal, and listen—to myself and to God.

For me, painting is not about perfection or rules. It is about release, emotion, and trust. Each brushstroke carries a story, a prayer, or a moment of surrender. Through color and texture, I work through uncertainty, grief, gratitude, and hope. Painting has guided me through moments of deep struggle and reminded me that even broken places can hold beauty.

Remi Art is named after a rescue dog who changed my life in ways I never expected. Remi represents unconditional love, second chances, and quiet strength—everything I strive to reflect in my work. Just as he brought healing into my life, I hope my art brings comfort, peace, and connection to others.

My work is intuitive and emotionally driven. I allow each piece to unfold naturally, trusting the process rather than controlling the outcome. The result is art that feels lived-in and honest—sometimes bold, sometimes gentle, but always heartfelt. Faith is woven throughout my creative journey. I believe God meets us in stillness and in expression, and painting has become one of the ways I listen. My hope is that when someone encounters my art, they feel seen, encouraged, and reminded that they are never walking alone.
